This is a relatively easy and short trek in langtang area and which is very close trekking from Kathmandu city offering distant views of snowy mountains from the Kathmandu valley whilst providing an indeal opportunity to experience Nepal’s rich culture. It’s a popular route enjoyed by families with children and students who may not have enough time for longer treks in the higher mountain areas. Nagarkot is a highlight of this trek, as it’s renowned for its beautiful sunrise / sunset over the Himalayan mountain range. It lies at an altitude of 2211m and is located 30 km North East of Kathmandu. Although it is a great distance from it, it is the nearest place to see Mt. Everest from Kathmandu valley.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1350m)
Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Depending on arrival time, may be opportunity to explore surrounding area. Overnight at hotel.


Day 02: Kathmandu to Chisapani (2215M)
The day begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal before hiking uphill through mixed forest, passing the Mulkharka village to Chisopani Danda.


Day 03: Chisapani to Nagarkot (2175M)
An interesting trail leads to the hill retreat of Nagarkot which commands sweeping views of the Himalayas. Five of the world's ten highest peaks, Everest, Lhotse, Choyu, Makalu and Manaslu are visible from here. Sunset and sunrise can also be enjoyed.


Day 04: Trek Nagarkot to Changunarayan and drive to Kathmandu (1350m)
Good views of Sunrise from Nagarkot hotel, you can enjoy. After breakfast, early morning start trek to Changunarayan and drive to bhaktapur city tour and Kathmandu by Nepal Visitors private vehicle. Drop off at hotel, rest of day to enjoy at leisure. In the evening, farewell meal and culture show.


Day 05: Final Departure
Transfer to airport or onward journey as required.

NOTE: On Short Langtang Trek of this type, weather, local politics, transport or a multitude of other factors beyond our control can result in a change of itinerary. It is however, very unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered; if alterations are necessary the leader will decide what is the best alternative, taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group. Where a change does occur, we do everything we can to minimize its effect, but we cannot be responsible for the results of changes or delays.

The following is a list of clothing and accessories that we recommend that you take with you. This is not intended to be a comprehensive clothing and equipment list, rather it is intended to act as a reminder of those items that we feel are essential for your comfort and convenience.
